Nighthawks at the Cobalt Cafe

The long-running Nighthawks returns to the Cobalt Café tonight at 8pm with a brilliant line-up of music, poetry and comedy, from a diverse range of Irish artists. On the musical front, there’s Kila frontman Ronan O’Snodaigh (his bodhrán skills are nothing short of legendary), along with talented newcomers The Ambience Affair, whose beautifully constructed haunting songs and improvised live performances make them one of the most promising up and coming Irish bands around. Jade Strings will also put in an appearance with their unique mix of classical, folk and opera. Music aside, there’s still plenty of excitement on offer. Expect to be entertained by stand-up comedians Graham Dowling and Cathal Kerr, while for the more poetically inclined, there will be readings from Stephen James Smith and newcomer Karl Parkinson. Enjoy a night of eclectic culture in the undeniably cool surroundings of the Cobalt Café.
