Culture Night – Francis StreetPosted: 17.09.2009
Okay, so we’re getting pretty excited about the upcoming Culture Night on the 25th September. Word is, that it’s all going down on Francis St, with street performers, antique cars and a treasure hunt, all going on until midnight.
Call into the Bad Art Gallery – Deborah Donnelly will be painting in the gallery from 6pm and there is also the promise of refreshments and entertainment along with ‘surprises’. Knowing the Bad Art Gallery, this should be good, so don’t miss this one. We just want to know what the surprises are… The gallery is open until midnight, so you’ve got plenty of time to find out.
That’s not all, there’s a huge amount of stuff happening on Francis St, with lots of the galleries and shops participating: The Monster Truck Gallery will be open with an exhibition of Brendan Flaherty’s work, as will the View Gallery, Portfolio, and The Cross Gallery, who are running an exhibition intriguingly entitled ‘Sex, guise and maybe some video tape’. It’s open until 10pm, so there’s no excuse not to have a look.
