Oh yes, we saw it…Posted: 06.06.2010
I know it’s deeply sad to admit it, but we’ve been looking forward to seeing Sex and the City 2 for months. Finally, last night, we went along to the cinema to check it out, armed with an embarrassingly large quantity of popcorn and pick n mix. We’d heard some pretty critical reviews of it from just about everyone, and had read countless articles on just how terrifying some of Carrie’s outfits were, but we have to say, it wasn’t all that bad. Steve, Miranda’s husband, had aged UNBELIEVABLY – he looked about 70 – although Miranda herself was actually looking far better than she did in the series. Carrie was also looking a little haggard, but still, you’ve got to hand it to the producers – the film was like the anti-recession – albeit in a very self-conscious way. All in all, it wasn’t the worst way to spend an evening, as long as you don’t take it too seriously – unlike the group of elderly ladies in dresses and heels who were sitting in front of us.
